Consorcio at MEBAA

Next month, over the weekend of December 10th, 11th and 12th, we at Consorcio Aviation are hitting up Dubai for the 8th annual MEBAA Show put on by the Middle East and Northern Africa Business Aviation Association, MEBAA for short.

If for some reason you are not yet excited about the future of this region’s aviation industry, you most definitely should be. Get pumped up and ready for liftoff because there are some major players placing monstrous bets in this region, including local governments and multi-national organizations alike. If you haven’t read any of our previous posts this month highlighting these moves, please go do so now.

One main aspect of this pack-filled weekend is the MEBAA Conference on the 11th and 12th of December which has an agenda focused on not only the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, but the entire aviation industry at large. The agenda touches on:

  • Analyzing trends and new regulations
  • Identifying opportunities for innovation
  • Blockchain and Cyber Security
  • Business Aviation Insurance
  • Drones place in the market
The Middle East & North Africa Business Aviation Association Exhibition.

Another integral portion of the MEBAA Show is the MEBAA Exhibition. This year’s exhibitor list is laced with top-notch players. From Europe’s Airbus to the U.A.E.’s Executive Gourmet by Gate Gourmet to the U.S. based Honda Aircraft Company and all in-between, both direct and ancillary services to the aviation industry will be represented. According to the MEBAA website, a breakdown of this list shows that roughly 70% of those who will be working the floor are coming from outside the region to take part in the largest aviation show in this part of the world.

We finish this post with a quote from the MEBAA Founding Chairman Ali Al Naqbi:

“Since we first created the Middle East and North Africa Business Aviation Association (MEBAA) to support business aviation across the whole MENA region, the MEBAA Show played a significant role in the market growth as it provided a valuable platform to address the issues affecting the business aviation community across the region and to highlight our continued support for members.”

Here at Consorcio Aviation, we are pumped to be having a presence at the MEBAA Show this year. We look forward to meeting new partners and continuing to grow the presence we have in South America and around the world.
